The Archives of Salaried Employees is a private central archive which collects, preserves and keeps available the archives of trade unions of professional and academic employees. The Archives of Salaried Employees has been operating since 1988. It is maintained by the association Toimihenkilöarkistoyhdistys ry (The association of Archives of Salaried Employees), whose members are Akava -  the Confederation of Unions for Professional and Managerial Staff in Finland, and the Finnish Confederation of Professionals STTK.

Our collections include the historical records of trade unions of professional employees, such as teachers, engineers, nurses, lawyers and architects, as well as the archives of the trade union confederations Akava, STTK and TVK. Most of the written documents are in Finnish or in Swedish. The archival records are available for research in the Archives’ reading room.
